Summer Football Camp Info

  • Jr. Bobcat Football Camp - 3rd through 8th Grade camp will take place on 7/17 through 7/19, online registration available at www.bobcatfootballcamp.com. It is highly recommended, that all youth football players attend Coach Stallbaumer's summer camp.
  • USA Regional Football Camp - This camp is being hosted at Basehor High School on May 13th and 14th. It is for athletes in 6th through 12th grade. Here is a $50 discount coupon: USAFB50

Bobcat Youth Football Coaches

The Bobcat youth football coaches are all required to be certified by USA Football.  The certification training concentrates on the following areas:

  • Concussion recognition and response
  • Heat preparedness and hydration
  • Sudden Cardiac arrest
  • Proper equipment fitting
  • Heads up Tackling
  • Heads up Blocking

This accreditation makes USA Football's Coaching Education Program the ONLY football-specific coaching program to receive accreditation from the NCACE, the standard in coaching education.

GENERAL LEAGUE INFORMATION

Below you will find some general information on how the league works, game information, rental information, Registration information and just some general information.

Football Fees:

The league consists of two types of Football: Flag and Tackle

  • 7 on 7 NFL Flag is for K, 1st & 2nd grade – cost is $100.00 per child and includes an NFL Flag jersey 
  • 11 on 11 Flag is for 2nd Grade only and the cost is $100 per child - This flag league will require the purchase of helmets, jerseys, spider pads, and padded pants
  • Tackle is for 3rd – 6th grade and the cost is $155.00 per child.  Not included in the league fee, is the equipment fee for a Helmet, Jersey, Pants, Shoulder Pads and socks. 

You will be assigned to a team by the grade that your child will be in the upcoming school year for 2017/2018  school year.

League Information:

  • Games start September 9th, 2017
  • The season is a 7 game league and then there will be Playoff's and a Super bowl at the end of the season for the tackle divisions.
  • Every child will receive a medal or Trophy.
  • Most of the games will be played at Basehor Field of Dreams Athletic Complex 14333 Fairmont Rd, Basehor, KS 66007.
  • Most of the games will be played on Saturday's & Sunday's from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • There is a gate fee of $2.00 per person, however children 12 and under are free.
  • There is a concession and restroom on the grounds.
  • There are several Tournaments that a team can enter however that is up to each Coach & Team to make that decision. Your league fees do not cover Tournament fees.

Practices:

Practice times and locations will be determined by the head coach of each team. Most teams practice twice a week (Monday - Thursday) at a location in Basehor, KS.

Uniform & Equipment Rental Cost:

The league will supply the Kindegarten, 1st Grade and 2nd Grade 7 on 7 flag teams with NFL Flag Jerseys  before the start of the first game. The 7 on 7 flag league is part of the NFL Flag organization powered by USA Football.

Helmet & Shoulder Pad Rental is organized by Field of Dreams.  Cost is generally $50 - $75 for helmet and shoulder pads.  Your coach will have more information on this.
